When behavior escalates to the point where safety is on the line, you should not have to guess what to do in the moment. Our Temporary Emergency Safety Plans give you a clear, short-term roadmap for those high-risk times, so everyone knows exactly how to respond.
We start by learning what a crisis looks like for this specific person: early warning signs, typical triggers, and what has helped or hurt in the past. From there, we outline step-by-step de-escalation strategies, safe ways to provide support, and guidelines for when to call for additional help. These plans are written in everyday language so families, school staff, and direct support professionals can use them confidently under stress.
For situations that are already at a breaking point, we can pair the plan with crisis intervention services, offering immediate consultation and problem-solving while safety procedures are put in place. Importantly, these are bridge plans. They are meant to stabilize the situation while we complete deeper assessment and long-term behavior planning, not to keep a person in "crisis mode" indefinitely.
Our goal is that everyone involved feels safer, more prepared, and less alone when intense behavior shows up. You get structure for today and a clear path toward more sustainable support for tomorrow.
